As part of a comprehensive and community oriented agency, Edgewood Clinical Services offers Mental Health Assessments for both voluntary and mandated individuals for issues such as involvement with DCFS, college or school requirements, history of multiple arrests, anger management issues or domestic battery. A mental health assessment will give you an overall picture of how well you feel emotionally and how well you are able to think, reason, and remember. Edgewood will distribute copies of the assessments to any individuals or agencies per the request and with consent of the client.
Our Mental Health Assessments can be scheduled with minimal wait time, and will take approximately 90 minutes to complete. A skilled licensed clinician will ask you a series of questions in addition to asking you to complete a brief questionnaire. This process will help determine your needs and possible care options. The licensed clinician will schedule a 50 minute follow-up appointment with you to discuss the outcome of your assessment and recommendations. You will receive a written report, including recommendations, at your follow-up appointment. Mental Health Assessments are not intended to take the place of full psychological evaluations. If you have any questions about whether these Mental Health Assessments will meet your need, please speak to our Intake Department staff.
