Amy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Choice Theory/Reality Therapy Certified. Amy earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Governors State University in 2010. She has a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation.

Amy has experience working with mother-daughter relationships, adolescents, couples, families, parenting challenges, and individuals struggling with personal relationships. Her passion is with adolescents/teens, couples, and parenting. She utilizes a positive focus in therapy to help improve relationships. She believes that healthy relationships and making good choices are the keys to a healthy, happy, and successful life.

Amy has presented on various relationship topics on local, state, national, and international levels, as well as being published internationally. She also teaches life coaching to other counselors and prepares them for certification. She is currently working on a Positive & Peaceful Parenting curriculum to help parents enhance the relationships with their children. Amy is a contributor to Positive Parenting Connection.
