Rachael is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the state of Illinois. She earned her Master of Social Work from Aurora University and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish and Sociology from Western Illinois University. Rachael has a wide range of experience with children, adolescents, and adults. Prior to joining the Edgewood team, Rachael was a school social worker where she worked with children with all abilities. Some areas of specialty include: Autism Spectrum Disorders, behavior challenges, selective mutism, emotional regulation, developmental disabilities, anxiety, and depression. Rachael is passionate about supporting families during challenging times and helping them navigate the school system. Rachael is a proponent of mindfulness and has a certificate in Yoga Informed Psychotherapy. She likes to incorporate different strategies into sessions with clients to support the overall mind and body connection. Rachael believes that healing can be supported by an open mind, curiosity, and trust.
