Another step towards finding the cause of Autism?

Researchers from UCLA have completed a study on mice which have had the Fmr1 gene removed (as that gene is consistent in humans to be altered in people with Autism) and have found that that there may be a neurological difference between those with and without this gene.  They concluded that the neurons function differently, and this impacts many important aspects of human development and growth.  Click here to read the full article in the Chicago Tribune.
