Shobana is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Shobana received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She earned her graduate degree in Counseling from DePaul University. Shobana has provided counseling services in therapeutic day schools, community and residential settings.
She has a passion for working with children, adolescents and young adults. She has experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship/family conflict, ADHD, eating disorders and emotional regulation issues.
Shobana believes in the importance of a warm supportive environment filled with safety and trusts. Her integrative approach uses a variety of models including Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts, Play, and Cognitive Behavioral. Shobana believes in everyone’s ability to grow and change with a supportive, collaborative, non-judgmental and caring environment.
