Alexia is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University, as well as her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Alexia is experienced assisting individuals through all transitions of life from children, adolescents and adults. Alexia has a great history of providing counseling and support to families of autism and other intellectual disabilities. That insight has allowed further understanding of other clinical areas of need such as anxiety, depression, adoption, parental conflict, self-esteem, stress, anger management, peer conflict, sibling rivalry, bullying and career/workplace counseling.
Alexia employs a variety of techniques used for both individuals and group therapy sessions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. These techniques are enhanced by Alexia’s ability to promote positive, well-being through an energetic approach to reach individuals’ goals in the therapeutic process. She will collaborate with you to promote ongoing personal growth and well-being in your everyday life. She believes that every individual has experiences that are personal to them and treatment should be specialized to the individual and individual’s experiences.
