Alyssa received her Master of Social Work degree from Aurora University. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Lewis University.
She has previous experience in an in-home therapeutic environment as an ABA therapist for children on the Autism Spectrum. She also has experience working with children and adolescents through individual therapy and family therapy. Areas of interest include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, behavioral concerns, parenting issues or life transitions.
Alyssa’s approach is to help clients identify areas of strength and access resources from within themselves and their larger communities to benefit their treatment. Alyssa integrates a variety of clinical approaches to meet the needs of her clients, she enjoys utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Play and Expressive therapies, Solution-Focused and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. She believes in creating an open, comfortable, and understanding environment where clients can find healing, courage, and hope they desire.
