Angela is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in Trauma and Women’s Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri. Angela obtained her B.S. in Psychology from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Giradeau, Missouri. Angela has experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, as well as working from a strengths-based, client centered approach. She works with adults, adolescents, and couples, and has experience working working with such issues as depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, self-harm, low self-esteem, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, substance abuse disorders, and adjustment disorders. Angela also has extensive experience working with survivors of trauma. Angela provides a therapeutic environment of acceptance by providing a comfortable setting, building trust, and using humor to guide clients on their journey to healing.
