Angie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who believes that each of us has the ability within ourselves for health and self-fulfillment. Sometimes we need an objective observer and fellow traveler to help us uncover our unique potential and strengths and Angie is prepared to be that person.
Angie earned her Bachelor’s degree from Whittier College in California and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. She has experience in helping clients of all ages and both genders with life transitions, grief (especially as survivors of suicide), depression, anxiety, self-injury, adolescent peer relationships and parent-child relationships.
Angie believes in joining each client on his or her personal journey and assisting him or her using client-centered, strength-based, solution-focused approaches. Though each client is different and she tailors each session to each individual’s need at that point in time, she often uses mindfulness, yogic breathing and postures and skill building techniques in areas of stress management, distress tolerance, emotion management and interpersonal relationships to assist clients in managing their individual struggles and live healthy lives, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Angie is constantly humbled and in awe of the human spirit and experiences true joy when clients discover their authentic selves.
