Gary is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has worked with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, residential placements, private homes, and social service agencies. He utilizes a non-judgmental strength-based treatment approach and sees himself as an advocate for each client. Gary believes everyone has the capacity for change and that he can assist in empowering others to build upon their strengths and develop skills to enhance their interpersonal relationships and the quality of their lives. His integrative approach uses a variety of techniques such as Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts, Play, and Behavioral and Family Systems models.
Gary earned his Master’s Degree from Concordia University in River Forest, IL, and has Bachelor Degrees in both Psychology and Sociology. Prior to Edgewood Clinical Services, Gary has provided crisis counseling and has worked at two community mental health centers. He has over 20 years experience helping others in the field of mental health.
