Dr. Megan Sullivan earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in the Summer of 2017. Prior to her graduate education, Dr. Sullivan earned her B.A. in Psychology from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois. Dr. Sullivan has five years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including private practice, community mental health, nonprofit community agencies, and within the court system. Dr. Sullivan greatly believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to facilitate change in a safe and inviting environment. She values the use of humor and common interests when working with individuals to strengthen the crucial relationship between a clinician and a client.
Dr. Sullivan has an extensive background working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups in a variety of areas such as depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, physical, mental, and sexual abuse, substance abuse, and personality disorders. Dr. Sullivan utilizes aspects of several theories that are specifically tailored to the clients she works with as a means of providing a holistic and fulfilling therapeutic experience.
