Michele is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Michele received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Elmhurst College and Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University. After completing graduate school, she returned to the classroom to earn a certificate in addictions counseling. Michele has been working in the field of psychology for the last several years and has experience in a variety of capacities including school and residential addiction settings.

Michele has experience in a wide variety of issues. She has worked closely with addictions (including alcohol, drug, gambling, sex, affected family members), trauma/PTSD (including sexual, physical, combat), depression, anxiety, grief/loss and life adjustments. Michele further enjoys working with issues related to self-esteem, self-injury, codependency/relational issues, birth order, and self-discovery.

Michele offers a warm, inviting style using a variety of methods to suit the needs of each individual client. She developed her integrative approach melding techniques from client-centered/Rogerian, cognitive behavioral, strengths based, and positive psychology. Michele believes in the power of developing a therapeutic alliance with her clients and assisting her clients on their journey. Michele’s use of warmth, unconditional positive regard, and humor present a safe, judgment free environment for that journey.
