Roseann is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in the State of Illinois. Roseann received her CADC after completing a two-year degree in Addictions Studies. She then received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University.
Roseann has experience providing mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, families and adults with various issues and needs, including mood disorders, family issues, anger management, stress management, relationship difficulties, college-related stressors, parenting issues, infertility, teen-LGBT issues, grief, and substance abuse/DUI problems. Roseann works with clients of all ages and across all life-spans but she has a great deal of experience working with pre-teens/adolescents and families.
Roseann engages clients with a warm, empathic, non-judgmental yet direct style and uses humor and a down-to-earth approach to make clients feel at ease during therapy sessions. She believes that building a strong and collaborative therapist-client relationship is essential to the therapeutic process. Roseann utilizes a variety of counseling approaches and techniques to assist clients with developing coping skills, making positive changes in their lives and improving their overall ability to function, which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), a Client-Centered Approach and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
