Amber Franco was born and raised in Albany Park, Chicago, IL. She attended a community college for two years before transferring to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for two years to complete her bachelor’s degree. With an undergraduate degree in psychology, Amber worked direct care and administration for 5 years at an inpatient mental health hospital in the suburbs of Chicago. While working full-time at the hospital, Amber also began her full-time master’s program in Industrial & Organizational Psychology in Fall 2017 at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and recently completed the program in April 2019. In addition, she recently completed her internship at an inpatient mental health hospital working with the Chief Clinical Officer on tracking and improving patient satisfaction scores and documenting first steps for the hospital to obtain Trauma-Informed Care certification.
Amber has experience with working closely with a team of psychiatrists. She enjoys organizing the operations within the psychiatry department to help psychiatrists focus on patient care and ensure the patients are provided with a comfortable and individualized experience as they work through difficult times. She is excited to join the ECS and looks forward to working with the ECS team.
